Una Murray

MURRAY (née Cunningham), Una (Coole, Gort, Co. Galway and formerly of Peterswell, Galway) - June 24, 2020 (unexpectedly), at her favourite place near home, pre-deceased by her parents Bridie and John and by her brothers Michael, Frank and John and sisters Carmel and Angela; sadly missed by her heartbroken husband and best friend Tommy, cherished and adored mother of Brian, Ann, Ken, David, Susan and Kevin, fondly remembered by her daughters-in-law Mary, Sharon and Yvonne, son-in-law Paul, grandchildren Alayna, Sarah, Luke, Cathal, Nathan, John, Isabelle, Tom, Andrew, Rachel and Robert, deeply regretted by her brother Vincent (USA), sister Mernie Gleeson and sisters-in-law Kitty Cunningham, Maureen Cunningham, Anne Cunningham and Mary Murray (UK), brothers-in-law Johnny Murray and Joe Hanlon (USA), nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and many loyal friends and great neighbours. “Rest In Peace.” Due to government restrictions and HSE guidelines Una’s Funeral will take place in private for family only. Requiem Mass for Una will take place tomorrow (Sunday, June 28) at 2 o'c. in St. Attracta’s Church, Kiltartan. The Mass will be streamed live via the Gort Parish Facebook Page for those who wish to link in and see Una’s final farewell. Una will be laid to rest afterwards in Kiltartan Cemetery. If people wish to pay their respects to Una and the Murray and Cunningham families they can do so by forming a static guard of honour as the funeral cortège makes its way to Kiltartan Church starting from the new motorway fly-over to Kiltartan Church. People are asked to maintain social distancing at all times keeping to the 2 meters apart guideline. Condolences to the family can be sent in the traditional manner. The Murray and Cunningham family’s deeply appreciate your kindness and support in this difficult time. A Memorial Mass for Una will be held at a later date.
