MCCABE, Phelim (Phil) died, (aged 82) on 20th August 2024 at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross. Survived by his cherished and devoted wife Elsie. Devoted dad to Philip and John. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered in our hearts by his loving family, adored grandson William and daughter-in-law Claire, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and kind neighbours. Also remembering his late parents Edward and Kate, brothers Michael, Seamus, Johnny, and Willie and his sister Maureen. We would like to express our gratitude to Drs Anna and Maeve, Community Health Centre (Ballinteer), St Vincent’s University Hospital, St Luke’s Oncology Centre in St James’s Hospital, Dr Moya and Prof Reynolds, the nursing and care assistants and especially Harold’s Cross Hospice who took such great care of Phil in his final days. Also a thank you to the paramedics for all their help and assistance. We will be forever grateful. Reposing in Fanagans Funeral Home, Main Street, Dundrum on Friday (23rd August) from 5.00 to 7pm. Removal on Saturday morning (24th August) to the Church of St. John the Evangelist, Ballinteer for Funeral Mass at 10.00am followed by burial in Mount Venus Cemetery. Family flowers only please.
