HEGARTY Rev. Fr. Peter, SPS (Coolagown, Fermoy, Co Cork, St Patrick’s Missionary Society, Kiltegan, Co Wicklow and formerly of the Diocese of Mzuzu, Malawi.) – July 16, 2020 (suddenly) at his home in Coolagown, beloved son of the late John and Bride (nee Linehan) and brother of the late Lucy; sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sisters Sheila (O’Brien), Breda (O’Flynn), Carmel (O’Connor), Emily (Jackson), Jo (McDonagh), Mary (Higgins), Ann (Hally), Bernadette (Ahern), Angela (O’Regan) his brothers Matt, David, John, Frank and Henry, sisters-in-law Marie and Valerie, brothers-in-law Ted O’Flynn, John O’Connor, Peter Jackson, Seamus McDonagh, Michael Higgins, Tony Hally, Dave Ahern and Anthony O’Regan, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and by his Society family, relatives, neighbours and many friends. Fr. Pete will repose at Ronayne’s Funeral Home Fermoy today (Sunday) from 3 o’c. to 5 o’c. for those who wish to pay their respects. Family will not be in attendance. Private Concelebrated Requiem Mass tomorrow (Monday, July 20, 2020) at 11 o’c. in St. Mary’s Church Coolagown, funeral afterwards to The Society cemetery Kiltegan. Fr. Pete’s Funeral Mass will be live streamed on Ronayne Funeral Directors Facebook. No flowers please, donations in lieu if desired to St. Patrick’s Missionary Society Kiltegan.
