QUINN, Michael (Summerville Drive, Waterford, late of the Irish Independent Newspaper) - July 14, 2020 (peacefully), at home surrounded by his family after bravely fighting a long illness, predeceased by his sister Laura, much loved husband of Brigid and wonderful father of Michael, Sheila, Sarah, Annie and David. Father-in-law to Kevin, Simon, Angelo and Jessica and a much loved grandfather to Katie, Molly, Bella, Michael, Melanie, Robert, Charlie and Sam. He will be sadly missed by his brother Gerard, sisters Pat and Anne, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends. Private funeral will take place today (Thursday) at 2.15 o'c. in the Friends Meeting House, Waterford followed by burial in Friends Burial Ground, Newtown. Michael’s funeral will leave his residence at 2 o'c. on Thursday. The family would like to thank Dr. Miriam O’Connor and all the magnificent staff at University Hospital Waterford and the Irish Cancer Society. No flowers please. Donations to Irish Cancer Society if you wish. Due to H.S.E. guidelines the Funeral Mass and burial will be private to the immediate family.
