McVEIGH (née Carruthers), Mary Teresa (Marie) (Glasnevin, Dublin) - October 18, 2021 (peacefully), at the Mater Hospital surrounded by her loving family, beloved wife of 60 years to Larry and cherished Mam to Treasa, Paula, Sheila, Brian, Laura and Fiona; very sadly missed by her loving family, Brian’s partner Paula, sons-in-law Gianni and Kevin, adored grandchildren Kirsty, Hazel, Rachel, Rían and Sibéal, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family would like to thank all the health and social care professionals who cared for Marie, including but not limited to the staff at Clontarf Orthopaedic Hospital, Kincora Ward, the staff of St. Raphael’s Ward in the Mater Hospital, with a special mention for Nurse Rebecca Moran aka Miss Merryweather, all the Respiratory Team at the Mater Hospital and her carer at home Nikita Kelly, all of whom looked after her with dignity and kindness. May she rest in peace. Removal to the Church of Our Lady of Victories, Ballymun Road, Glasnevin, tomorrow (Thursday, October 21, 2021) for 10 o'c. Funeral Mass, followed by cremation in Glasnevin Crematorium. Family flowers only.
