COONEY (née Smyth), Loretto (Lehery, Lanesboro, Co. Longford and formerly of Clonmore, Killashee), passed away on January 18, 2023 (peacefully), in the excellent care of the staff at Our Lady's Manor, Edgeworthstown. Predeceased by her beloved husband Leo, sisters Lil and Molly, brother Billy; Loretto will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Albert, daughters Loretto (Carroll) Reynella, Bracklyn, Mullingar, Edel (O'Brien) Ahascaragh, Galway, daughter-in-law Carolyn, sons-in-law Oliver and Tom, grandchildren Gavin, Carol, Edwin, Emma, Katie, Diarmuid, Conor, Niamh and lifelong friend and cousin Mary Skelly, relatives, friends and neighbours. May her gentle soul rest in peace. Reposing at Our Lady's Manor, Edgeworthstown (N39 VR04), on Thursday (January 19, 2023), from 4pm to 7.30pm. Removal to St. Mary's Church, Lanesboro, on Friday, (January 20), for Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Rathcline Cemetery. Family flowers only. House strictly private.
