McDONNELL, James (Jimmy) (Ballinderry Big, Kilbeggan, Co. Westmeath) - April 9, 2021 (peacefully), at home surrounded by his loving family. Son of the late John and Teresa McDonnell, predeceased by his loving wife Maureen and his sisters Sarah, Annie, Maggie and Tessie, devoted father of his sons Jim and Brian and daughters Maura, Anna, Deirdre, Eileen and Thérese, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, loving grandfather to his cherished grandchildren; Jimmy will be deeply missed by beloved sister Mary Sexton (Miltown Malbay), and his brothers Joe, Johnny, Christy, Davey, Peter and Martin, sisters and brothers-in-law, his devoted nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends. Jimmy was a dedicated hurling and football player, member of the inaugural Tullamore Harriers and former winner of the Leinster 10 mile road race in Enniscorthy in 1955. R.I.P. Removal from his home tomorrow (Sunday) morning at 10.30 o'c. to St. James' Church Kilbeggan, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o'c. Burial after Mass in the Relic Cemetery, Kilbeggan. Due to government guidelines, the number in the Church is restricted.
