MURRAY, Gerry (Retired Garda Superintendent, Charleville View, Tullamore, Co. Offaly and late of Ballymacward, Ballinasloe, Co Galway) - November 18, 2020 (peacefully), after a short illness, at the Regional Hospital, Tullamore, predeceased by his infant son Brian and brother Fr. Nicholas (Columban Fathers), loving husband of Eileen and dear father of Maeve, Declan and Gerard; Gerry will be very sadly missed and dearly beloved by his family, son-in-law Aidan McGovern, daughters-in-law Úna Mitchell and Patricia McDonnell, his much loved grandchildren Eanna, Liadhan, Fionnán, Clodagh, Áine, Tom, Ronan, Evelyn, Andrew, Aisling, Paddy, Gerry and Frank, his brother Pat Joe, sisters Kathleen (Raftery), Margaret (Oliver), and Mary (O'Mahony), brothers-in-law Paddy and Shane, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours, his Garda colleagues and wide circle of friends. R.I.P. Reposing at O'Reilly's Funeral Home, Harbour Street, Tullamore, this (Friday) evening) with Rosary at 8 o'c. Removal from his home tomorrow (Saturday) morning at 10.30 o'c. to St. Colman's Church, Mucklagh arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o'c. Burial after Mass in the adjoining (old) cemetery. Due to government guidelines, the number in the church is restricted to 25. Those that would like to attend are welcome to stand along the route from his house to the church, in the church grounds or at the Cemetery.
