GAFFNEY, Fr. David, S.J - May 6,2020, (peacefully), in the loving care of the staff of Cherryfield Lodge Nursing Home and St. Vincents Hospital; greatly missed by his sister Eileen (Kennedy) and brother Gerard, his sister-in-law Kathleen and brother-in -law Jim, his nieces, nephews and cousins, grandnephews and grandnieces, and a wide circle of family and friends in Thomastown, Co Kilkenny, and by his Jesuit community at Milltown Park. Due to the current government guidelines regarding public gatherings, a private Funeral will take place for his immediate family. A memorial Mass in celebration of Fr. Davids life will take place at a later date. Those who would have liked to attend the funeral, but due to current restrictions cannot, may leave a personal message of condolence by e-mailing notices@independent.ie.
