McCARTHY, Fr. Flor SDB (Salesian House, 45 St. Teresa's Road, Crumlin, Dublin 12 and formerly of Ovane, Mangerton, Kilgarvan, Co. Kerry) - January 20, 2021 (peacefully), in the exceptional care of the staff of the Palliative In-patients Unit, University Hospital Kerry, predeceased by his brothers Danny (New York), Johnny and Patsy (Mangerton) and his sister Sr. Fatima CCVI (Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, Texas); sadly missed by his Salesian Community throughout the world, but particularly by his Salesian Community in Crumlin, his sister Peggy, his nephews Denis and Murt (Kilgarvan), John and Dan (USA), his nieces Anne (Kenny, Ballymacelligott), Margaret (Galway) and Ann (USA), grandnephews, grandnieces, extended family, Clergy and Parishioners of St. Stephen's Parish, Warwick, New York and Clergy and Parishioners of Porterstown Parish, Dublin, his neighbours and his many many good friends. May he rest in peace. In accordance with government and HSE guidelines, and in the interest of public health, a private family Funeral will take place for Fr Flor. Requiem Mass today (Friday) at 12 noon in St. Patrick's Church, Kilgarvan (V93PF88) will be live streamed on Kilgarvan Parish facebook page. Burial afterwards in the local cemetery, Kilgarvan.
