SHORTT (née Marron) Carmel (Clane, Co. Kildare) - October 12, 2021 (peacefully), at home, beloved mother-in-law of the late Noel; deeply regretted by her loving husband Maurice, children Bríd, Fachtna, Traolach, Oscar and Olwen, son-in-law Brian, daughters-in-law Stephanie, Dara and Sinead, 17 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, brother Dessie, extended family and friends, Rest In Peace. Due to current government guidelines regarding religious ceremonies, Carmel's Funeral Mass will take place tomorrow (Friday) at 12 noon in St. Patrick and St. Brigid's Church, Clane, followed by burial in Mainham Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to attend the Funeral, but are reminded to be mindful of hand and cough etiquette and social distancing. Those who would have liked to attend the Funeral, but due to the current restrictions cannot, please leave a personal message for the family in the condolences section on rip.ie. The Funeral Cortége will be leaving Carmel's residence in Clane at 11.30 o'c. to arrive at Clane Church for 12 noon Funeral Mass, followed by burial in Mainham Cemetery, if people would like to line the route in a socially distanced manner.
