GRANT (née Close), Bernie “Manapouri”, Belvedere Road, Wexford and formerly “Tullyrusk”, Calderwood Road, Dublin 9 - September 5, 2024 peacefully after a short illness. Beloved wife of the late Joe. Bernie was a generous, fun loving lady who will forever be missed in the lives of her children Siobhan, Eoin, Joanne, Leonie and Brendan. Bernie's a cherished sister of Brendan and the late Fr. Leo and a loving Nana to Jamie, Alex, Leo, Conor, Paddy, Hazel, Joe, Susannah, Max, Scott, Emily and Summer. Also missed by her sons-in-law Dom Rigby, Paul Browne and Martin Sinnott, her daughter-in-law Emma Grant (née Culkin), nephews, nieces, relatives and a wide circle of friends. Reposing at Macken’s Funeral Home, Distillery Road, Wexford today (Friday) from 5 o’ clock to 8 o’ clock. Funeral arriving at The Church of The Annunciation, Clonard tomorrow (Saturday) morning for her Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in St. Ibar’s Cemetery, Crosstown.
