LINDSAY, Fr. Augustine (Austin) C.S.Sp. (Late of Rathmines, Dublin) - August 18, 2022 (peacefully), in his 98th year, in Bethesda, Maryland. Fr Augustine had served in the USA (Texas, New York and Washington, DC) since 1968 after over a decade in Nigeria. Son of the late James and Eileen Lindsay. Predeceased by his brothers James, Paddy, Fr Michael SDB, Noel and Colm, and his sisters Evelyn, Kathleen, Flo, Eileen, Philomena, Theresa and Sr Veronica SDB. Sadly missed by relatives, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, colleagues, Spiritan confrères and friends. Following his recent cremation service in Maryland, Fr Augustine’s Funeral Mass will be held at 11.00 a.m. on Tuesday 27th September, 2022 in the Holy Spirit Church, Kimmage Manor which may be viewed through web camera at https://mcnmedia.tv/camera/holy-spirit-parish-church-kimmage. Fr Augustine’s ashes will be interred privately.
